Like many other series/mini-series of the present age, it takes a gamble at a slow, mysterious burn considering it was launched with an one-episode-a-week format which renders the viewer clueless through the first few episodes, until revelations start dropping in. The humor is dry to start with, but switches into that Marvel-esque gear soon enough. It is creatively rich and the premise is something novel and refreshing, even bold at some level. While the "Avengers" spin-offs are an obvious cash churning opportunity for Marvel studios, I do believe they also allow an opportunity for comic book geeks and Marvel fans to zoom in on the multitude of characters – some who we have always wanted like to dive deeper into. Here's a showcase for the uncanny and debatably grey-shaded couple from the Avengers, both portrayed by very gifted actors who haven't had the opportunity to come into the full forefront – up until now.
